The IMA Blasthole Sampler-Analyzer (BSA) fully automatic sampling and analysis robot collects samples and dense drill cuttings data from production and R/C holes. The dense and accurate real-time data allow mines to obtain 3D maps of blast benches. The robot does not need any human operators and it allows autonomous drilling, by removing sampling personnel from the blast benches. The BSA provides Analyze While Drilling (AWD) and Measure While Drilling (MWD) data, for the accurate elemental analysis and rock/ore hardness (i.e drill / blast / crush / grind ability) information combined with ore and waste rock location coordinates.
