Ore Grade Improvement Studies
Fastest economic
and environmental gains
Many mines face the challenge of waste rock dilution and ore heterogeneity, which are often overlooked by using average grades for large mined volumes.
This means that a stope or blast bench is classified as ore or waste based on a single cut-off grade, such as copper grade. However, this does not reflect the true variation of ore grades that go to the processing stage.
All the data provided by IMA Sensors has the same format so that all IMA Sensors can share and identify it.
The data contains both the time and the location and can be integrated and synchronized with other collected real-time on-line data.
IMA FCA reveals
the ore grade variation
Our solution is to reveal the true variation of ore grades by providing sensor systems that can analyze the ore on a conveyor belt in real-time and with high accuracy. Seeing is believing!
Instead of asking the mine to invest in the sensor systems without knowing the benefits, IMA Engineering has manufactured a fleet of rental equipment that can be easily installed on any conveyor belt to start analyzing.
Know the monetary value for your mine
The analyser data will be combined with tonnages to give monetary value to the information. Mines can use this information to justify investments in more selective mining, downstream process controls, and ore sorting technologies.
Improve the financial efficiency
The deliverable is a report that shows how much tonnage is below the cut-off grade in each interval and how it can be removed or prevented from going downstream to processing.
The economic benefits include increased head grade, more homogeneous feed to concentration, less waste processed, fewer tailings produced, and less energy and chemicals consumed in unnecessary processing.
