IMA'S 2018 Year in Review
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from IMA Engineering!
Another year comes to an end. For IMA the year 2018 was amazing and full with new opportunities. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees, our business and government partners as well as customers who made this year a great success.
Here are just a few highlights from 2018 that we are proud of
IMA participated together with the Mining Finland Team in exploring new geographic areas especially Africa. As a result of this exploration, our first delivery to Zambia is leaving by end of 2018, and the second will go early 2019.
The ITERAMS project is approaching the mid-term in sustainable mining. We are extremely proud that we are part of the ITERAMS family and projects.
We also want to thank our local Nordic customers and partner mines in Finland, in Sweden and in Norway for ongoing fruitful cooperation. One such cooperation is in EIT Booster – testing new methods in drill-cuttings analysis. We shall share more in 2019.
IMA Bulk Ore Sorting System (BOSS) studies are ongoing in 2019 in several applications including:
Nickel and copper mine
Gold mine
Others starting soon
HERE ARE SOME IMAGES FROM SURFACE AND UNDERGROUND MINES IN FINLAND WHERE OUR LATEST TECHNOLOGY IS CURRENTLY PILOTED:

What is IMA Engineering?
IMA Engineering has used on-line sensors for analyzing ore and waste rock in mining for over 25 years. Today IMA on-line sensors are used in various stages of the mining process including on-line analysis of drill cores, drill chips, ore, and waste in loader buckets, ROM ore analysis on conveyor belts and in bulk ore sorting, as well as slurry analysis in concentrators.
